Escape From the Nazis: the Dutch-Paris Escape Line In-Person
The 330 men and women who belonged to the Dutch-Paris resistance network hid about 1,500 Jewish people in occupied France and Belgium, took another 1,500 refugees, resisters and downed Allied aviators out of occupied territory to safety in Switzerland or Spain and acted as a clandestine courier service for the resistance. Author Megan Koreman will share a story of courage, persistence, flexibility and hair-raising near catastrophes as well as a few actual catastrophes.
The Escape Line got a starred review in Kirkus Reviews and a positive review in the Library Journal.
