Folktales in Every Language In-Person
What would you do if there were no children’s books in your language? You make them, of course! In the spring of 2017 a community organization in Benin, West Africa teamed up with students at Michigan State University to create books based on folktales. More than 80 people ranging in age from 3 – 85 years old participated in the project called Books that Bind. Join Dr. Marcy Hessling O’Neil as she takes us behind the scenes with photos, videos, and recordings of the books in 8 African languages, including French and English.
